I was happy with them until recently! I have a couple of loans with lending club, and have paid them on time, even earlier.

I recently tried to make a payment towards the principal and mistakenly made it towards the wrong account. At the end, it said to contact them if payment needed to be canceled, so I did. I didn't ask for payment to be canceled, though, just transferred to my other loan account. This request was denied because, as I was informed, it wasn't lending clubs mistake, so tough luck.

As a long time customer that has in general been happy with the company, i expected more. Again, not asking for a refund. The loan i was making the payment towards is high, and i still have about 8 months of payment, i was trying to pay it faster but no one at lending club is willing to help, they just denied it because it wasn't their fault, that seems to be the only reason. That said, it is difficult right now to make those large monthly payments, which is why i was trying to make a large payment so i could pay it off faster.

I feel incredibly disappointed with how this was handled. It is so frustrating.

Be sure to not make mistakes with this company because they obviously won't care or help. If it's not their fault, well then nothing left to do.

I was supposedly cleared for a$5k loan with no out of pocket fees. Should have known it wasnt legit when they required to give my bank username and password.

I subsequently was told that my credit score was too low for the amount I originally had been approved for then I was instructed that $375.7373 was being wired to my account and the next day I was to send that money back cause they were attempting to help me secure an already approved loan! I was to receive the $5000 promised wired to my bank account the next morning, however when the money was deposited it was so in the name of Wells Fargo, my bank flagged it as. Fraud and alex assured me his manager would call my bank and straighten things out! They never did and alex made excuses for hours that they had a lot of files before stating over and over the conditions of the loan claiming he did so because of the pandemic people were running away with their money.

When I insisted he move on to give me the mdc number for western union because they got my bank account closed and my debit card closed he began asking me should he just close out my file because he was very busy. I tried explaining that Im a paralyzed stroke survivor and I dont drive so I couldnt get to a western union.he insisted I call my bank back and insist I demanded they reopen a the account so they could make another fraudulent wire! I call, after he swore his superiors would call. When I began insisting he do as promised he began threatening to close out my file after going back and forth for 15 minutes and being threatened even after this company financially turned my world upside down and told me if I didnt pay $250 I would not receive the loan.after a small internet search I discovered an article where they were reprimanded for not disclosing these practices upfront they were reprimanded by the federal trade commission for failing to disclose these or thousands of dollars in upfront fees before being granted a loan.

For me my bank account was closed I was embarrassed.bank card turned off and all my direct deposits from social security and my former employer just left hanging out there because of these criminals and their fraudulent transactions..

run, run, away as fast as possible. Not legit!!
