I have NEVER been late on my payments with Lending Club - absolutely never and I have this account for over (1) year. I recently asked if they would please modify my monthly "due date" because we are senior citizens and OUR MONTHLY FUNDS BECOME AVAILABLE (2) DAYS LATER THAN THE LENDING CLUB DUE DATE. They answered TWICE & it was no for requesting to move our due date out by only TWO DAYS?????

I wrote them back respectfully submitting my disappointment with their company and their procedures. I also advised them that other companies were very cordial and accommodated our request.

Hopefully other prospects will read our review - I still can't believe how we were treated by Lending Club.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

You have a 15 day grace so moving it two days is pointless.

I moved my payment date by one week from the 11th to the 19th (I get paid on the 15th). No problem.

Did it online.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I tried and Lending Club wants to charge me a "late fee", so I couldn't change it.

BTW - what did you click on? One-time payment? or.....

Here is another reply from Lending Club as follows:

Can I change my Payment Due Day?

Can I change my Payment Due Day? We're sorry but the Lending Club Patient SolutionsCredit account only offers a limited set of Payment Due Days and we are not able to offer changes. For more information, please contact Customer Care through Secure Message Center or by calling 1-86*-***-**** (TDD/TTY: 1-88*-***-****).

Move payment back two days, that's tough.

Ever heard of paying 28 days early, it the same thing

I thought of the same thing myself. Sounded like they just wanted to skip a payment for some reason they failed to disclose. Typical habitual complainers twisting the facts and blaming others for what is obviously their responsibility.

Hello. We give all borrowers a 15-day grace period to make payments with no penalty.

If we haven't received payment by that time, we may charge a late fee, and depending on how late your payment is, we'll report this to credit bureaus and may work with collection agencies to recover the loan proceeds owed to investors.

If youโ€™d like to permanently move your monthly payment day, you can do so right from your Account Summary.

To learn how, see - https://help.lendingclub.com/hc/en-us/articles/213759398. If youโ€™d like to delay just your upcoming payment, please contact us at least two days before your payment is due.

If you're having a problem making your payments, please contact us immediately at support@lendingclub.com or call 888-596-3157 between 6:00amโ€“5:00pm PST, Monday โ€“ Saturday.

This is what The Lending Club Website states as follows:

My payment is due today. What's the latest I can make an online payment and not be charged a late fee?

In order to avoid a late fee, you must pay at least the Minimum Payment Due by the Payment Due Date. Any online payments submitted prior to 8PM EDT can be credited to your Account on the same day.
